Pixagent Support

Welcome to the Pixagent online configurator for the Nikon WT-1 wireless transmitter. Simply fill in the following form, press the save button and this script will allow you to download a finished .WT1 configuration file that will allow you to quickly and easily upload settings into your camera(s).

This is the simplified version of the form that removes items that are typically unnecessary in an attempt to make filling it out simpler. If you want more options, feel free to use the advanced version of this form. If you are unsure of the meaning of any of these settings, simply click on the name for a detailed description of their meaning.

If you have successfully uploaded your settings and the WT-1 is still not working, please check out our debugging guide to help identify and fix the problem you are having. If that doesn't help you, feel free to give us a shout and we'll try to help you to any capacity that we can.

Please note that if you are using ITP/PocketITP 1.1 or later you already have a more powerful module to perform this task - unlike this online script, ITP can automatically determine many of the values you must manually specify here. This script is primarily targeted at Apple users who do not currently have a native package to generate the .WT1 configuration files (although it will happily work on any platform).

Wireless LAN Settings
These settings are based on the configuration of your wireless network and provide the WT-1 with the information required to connect to it. If you are using an infrastructure-based network, this data should be available in your router or access point. In an Ad-Hoc (camera->computer) network, this is the information you entered when you created the new network.

Network Type: Infrastructure, Ad-Hoc
Channel:
Network Name (SSID):
TCP/IP Settings (Camera):
This group of settings provides the camera with details on what network resources it will be directly accessing. Please note that the IP Address listed here should be a new address that has not been used on the network before. If you are using an infrastructure network, you can likely just use the automatic configuration. For Ad-Hoc networks, you will have to generate this information yourself.

Automatic Configuration (DHCP)
Camera's IP Address:
Subnet Mask:
Enable Gateway
Gateway Address:
Enable DNS
DNS Address:
FTP Settings (Computer):
The FTP settings provide the WT-1 with information on the computer that it will attempt to load the pictures onto. If the computer is already configured, this data should already be available and can be entered verbatim from the system's settings.

FTP Server Address:
Username:
Password:
Once you are sure that your settings above are correct, press the 'Save' button and the .wt1 file will be generated for you. Your browser should ask you to select a location to save the file when you click on it - simply save it to the root of a CF card and then load it into the camera and you are done!
